CivAssist didn’t begin as a suite of software products.
It began with a simple goal: make it easier for local government professionals to prepare agendas and minutes while reducing the errors that often came from editing the same Word documents meeting after meeting.
As we listened to the agencies we serve, a pattern emerged. The biggest challenges weren’t solved by adding more features—they were solved by addressing entirely different parts of the job.
We never wanted to become a feature factory. When a new challenge couldn’t be solved with a meaningful enhancement, we built a new solution instead.
That same philosophy extends beyond our software. We spend a great deal of time listening to the agencies we serve, understanding the challenges they’re facing, and helping them find practical solutions—whether that involves one of our products or simply sharing our experience. Many of our best ideas have come directly from those conversations.
